How To Get Out Of Your Rut?

How To Get Out Of Your Rut? | Hamster Wheel For Sale

It is pitiful indeed to live a life of quiet mediocrity and running the hamster wheel when we are given everything we need to live how we desire. Ask and it shall be given. The real catch is how do we ask? Well, we do the asking through our subconscious mind, which, unfortunately, is heavily conditioned with limiting beliefs and bad habits. The mastery is to find a conscious way to recondition the subconscious mind so that we can use its powers to get what we ask for. The question is How To Get Out Of Your Rut?

Regardless of your conscious and subconscious development, undesirable things will happen to you in life, such as physical illness, financial setback, grief, or pain. What actually matters, however, is what we do about what happens to us. Usually, there are 3 reactions we can choose from.

  1. We start worrying. We tend to focus heavily on the problem and create a break in the flow of our life, causing the problem to magnify. Worry pretends to be necessary but serves no useful purpose.
  2. We become a fixer. We focus on the problem and penalize ourselves for it by not relenting until it is resolved. This is what most highly educated people tend to do; but, though a bit more productive than response #1, the main focus still continues to be on the problem, which only magnifies it and brings you no peace.
  3. We create a vision for the future and make the present issue small. This response is similar to response #2, but now the focus is not on the problem but on the solution. You become a “moving toward” person, not a “running away from” person. You learn to reframe the situation and redirect your energies.

Can you bounce back from the rut?
So, how do we go about creating a new vision and overcoming your fear based programming? Here are 4 specific steps to actually Get Out Of Your Rut:

  1. You stop having a problem and start having a project. In your mind, you bypass the stress that comes with having a problem since working on a project is much more positive and uplifting.
  2. Create a vision for the future and focus on it. Be persistent and “feel the feeling of the wish fulfilled.”
  3. Pursue your vision with joy and enthusiasm.
  4. Be aware of your state of flow. Keep your mind focused on the vision. Remember: you don’t have problems; only projects that lead you to your end goal.

An additional, helpful tip for maintaining a positive state of mind is to create a habit of not watching TV. The news relies on fear to deter your focus and to make you think you have problems when you don’t! Why? Because fear sells and brings in a lot of money to corporations, so be aware to avoid this trap.

Learn to create opportunities to go from where you are to where you want to be. Follow the steps we discussed and be ready to make some mistakes. By keeping the vision of your future, you can keep adjusting your actions. You have to be in motion in order to correct your direction, and you can only correct action that has already been taken.

My thoughts about resiliency and How To Get Out Of Your Rut!

When we are on auto pilot many undesirable things can happen. Remember that this is only temporary. Outside of the laws of physics all other rules are meant to be broken. History is written by rule breakers. Right? Your goal is to recognize all of the bullshit rules (B-rules) and break them. Create your own bubble of reality and put your hamster wheel up for sale. Hi Margarita,

Great Post as always.

I like how you put the 3 different reactions and I relate to #1 a lot as I am a worrier and I tend to worry a lot and as you said the focus gets on the problem and tend to magnify it. I am working on this right now as worrying will get us no where and will not change the reality.

I think when we accept the fact that nothing lasts forever, we are better equipped for the journey. Struggle occurs when we resist reality. So the best way to end the struggle is to stop having a problem and start having a project as you put it. Enjoy the good times while we can and remember that the not so good times are just temporary. The light will appear at the end of the tunnel, we just need patience.

Thanks Margarita for an inspiring post and the steps you provided to get out of our rut and overcome our fear are all spot on. Have yourself a great week.

Be Blessed,

Dear Neamat,

thank you for your valuable comment. It is so very easy to get caught in the fast moving reality. This is why it is so important to slow down. This gives a chance to connect and experience happiness (in the now).

“Ask and it shall be given!” I believe it. The catch is Who asks? The subconscious mind! It often has a different opinion that has nothing to do with what we want. Tricky…

Fighting… what? This is why it is imperative to be in the flow (or the vortex). There we create … ourselves.

Another wonderful post Margarita and such solid advice.

Okay now a lot of this is easier said then done, especially the worrying part. It took me a very long time to stop worrying about everything that was out of my control. That really does have to do with changing your thinking and that’s just no easy task.

Also visualizing the future because I seriously never knew what I wanted. I know that sounds hard to believe but I really didn’t. I love my life right now and although I’ve always wanted financial freedom, wealth was just never in my realm of possibilities. It took a long time before I understood that could be a reality for me.

Your list seems so simple and I know that once we all learn how to implement this then that’s when our lives will start to really change once and for all.

Once again Margarita, thank you so much for your wonderful advice.

Enjoy your weekend.

Dear Adrienne,

You are right. It is really that simple. At the same time, philosophers have been pondering this question for centuries. It boils down to the following: how to become the masters of the ego. Not by fighting, but by loving it. The ego is only a part of our God’s nature. We are all given everything. Few realize it. That’s why the are called “realized human beings”.

Adrienne, thank you for your comment.

Hi Margarita,
So much in this post. I’ve been self sufficient since I was 18 years old. I always knew I could reach my goals and did just that.
Now I’m doing internet marketing…boy what a challenge it’s been.
I do like the option of not having a problem but instead having a project…that’s the one I’d choose.
I have been using visualization for a long time even before “The Secret” and it has always worked well.
I’m in total agreement about not listening to the news!
Thanks so much,
Love the video!

Hi Tonya,

Thanks for reading and commenting on my post. You have a huge advantage by being self sufficient form early age. In my country we were kept dependent on purpose. As a result, I started developing my “self sufficient” qualities later in life. I am grateful that I saw it.

Visualization is a great way to manifest. I am starting seeing results. Wow!

Viola, thank you for stopping by,

You are right, it takes a high level of will power and skills to detach from the hamster wheel. I think that we have to step in our powers and ship our wheels oversees ourselves. Otherwise the employers will do the same for us.

Margarita – love the images and the post -awesome. I’ve been feeling like that hamster on a wheel and to think of problem as project is a great way to look at it. Thanks for the inspiration. Interesting about our subconscious mind too, I do believe if you think it enough it can come true :)

Lisa, thanks for your comment.

I think that we are conditioned since early age to run hamster wheels. So sad. We are meant for creation and joy. Few awaken to the truth and realize their God’s nature.
